Clubs & Activities Part 1

One huge perk of attending a small school such as Mount Marty College is the ability to participate in as many activities as one wants to. I was pretty involved in high school, so I decided to stay active in as many clubs and activities as possible while attending college: ADMIT, Ambassadors, ASPIRE, Education Club, English Club, College Democrats, History Club, the Moderator, Collegians for Life, Campus Ministries, Prayer Partners, Agape, Intramurals, and as I already discussed, Lancer Volleyball.

This may seem like an insane amount of things to be involved with while also taking a full course load, playing a college sport, and doing work-study, but the people at MMC are so willing to be flexible and accomodate for students; they really allow students to spread their wings as much as they would like.

I will discuss two of my most time-consuming activities in this post. The first would be ADMIT club. ADMIT is actually my favorite club; it allows me to interract with prospective students. The main duty of the ADMIT club is to give tours and help with big group visit days as well. I love giving tours, and I have given many since I first began as a sophomore. Another activity I do is this...writing blogs for prospective students to read! Serving as an Ambassador also consumes a lot my time. Only juniors are allowed to be Ambassadors. We wear fancy suits and help serve at a variety of events at MMC. We learn about proper etiquette, and we keep pretty busy trying to represent the college.
